France is the 65th signature of the official agreement to participate in Milan’s Expo 2015. Its pavilion, right in the heart of the site, will be inspired by Les Halles in Paris. It will be constructed of wood, will be removable and reusable in line with the Expo theme Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.
France will concentrate on of several key themes highlighting the importance of both the quality and quantity of food: the importance of science and technology for self-sufficiency, new production methods that respect the need to preserve natural resources, new policies to reducing the agricultural imbalances between the north and the south of the world and the pleasure of food.
So far 132 countries have agreed to participate in Expo 2015 from 1 May-31 October 2015. So far The United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada are not on the list.
