Local transport strikes Saturday to Monday

Strikes in the local transport sector will make movement in and around Milan miserable again this weekend.

From 21.00 on Saturday 14 December to the same hour on Sunday evening, a 24-hour strike will disrupt Trenord services throughout Lombardy. Only the Milan-Malpensa Airport route will be covered by substitute coaches; a list of departures is available on this page. Because the strike falls on a weekend, the usual “legal guarantee period” for commuters will not be in effect. Information will be available on the toll-free number 800 500 005 from 07.00 to 21.00 daily.

On Monday 16 December, the strike will hit the Trenord lines Milan-Saronno-Como, Milan-Saronno-Novara, Milan-Saronno-Laveno,
Milan-Asso, Brescia-Iseo-Edolo and Saronno-Seregno, as well as the suburban lines Milan-Seveso/Mariano/Camnago and Milan-Saronno, and with possible repercussions on the “passante” routes S1, S2, S9 and S13.  The Malpensa lines will again be substituted by coaches.

Within the city, transport authority ATM announces that the strike on Monday will be from 08.45 to 12.45.
