Residents in the Ticinese area of Milan have won their case, for now, against a noisy nightclub that has been keeping them awake. After months of petitions and measuring decibels the city has now ordered a nightclub in Via Vetere, which is close to the popular night-time hang-out of S. Lorenzo, to submit an acoustic plan by the end of November or risk closure.

The ruling will have reverberations throughout Milan as it comes at a time when other areas of the city, such as Arco della Pace are also up in arms against night-time noise.
