13 September-15 October 2012. Repetto Project opens with a selection of 18 serigraphs by Andy Warhol (1928-1987), unforgettable icon of Pop Art.
These works come from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts of New York, and immortalize some of Warhol’s most beloved topics, such as his portraits, the legendary soup cans by Campbell and the detergent drums by Brillo.
The Andy Warhol Foundation was created after the unexpected death of Warhol in 1987. His will was to create a foundation, dedicated to the advancement of visual arts. Since then this foundation is strongly committed to preserve the freedom of artistic expression, fight censorship, protect artists’ rights and defend their access to evolving technologies in the digital age.
