17-20 February 2011. BIT, the International Tourism Exchange, is the biggest exhibition of the Italian tourist industry and am important appointment for the tourism worldwide. For the first time Bit is accompanied by Fuori Bit, with a rich programme of events, photographic exhibition, musical performances, inaugurations, fashion shows, food and wine tastings. These events will enliven the city of Milan during the four days of BIT and involve 20 nations and 23 locations.
The centre of Milan is turned into a big South African natural park. Every day from 18.00 to 24.00 elephants, lions, rhinos, leopards and buffalos will be projected on the most important buildings around town. Serbia offers an itinerant concert on a double decker bus. Sweden reconstructs the Forest of Sleipnir at Rotonda della Besana. Jordan displays a series of photographs by Milanese photographers at Palazo Morando. France offers its specialities such as foie gras at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana. Germany displays its home made beers around the Tortona district.
