8 June-11 September 2011. On occasion of the cultural year of China in Italy promoted by the Chinese Ministry for Culture, the Triennale Design Museum of Milan and Palazzo Chiablese of Turin display this exhibition of new design in China.

After two cycles of exhibitions of new Italian design, Triennale Design Museum presents New Far East Design, a series of exhibitions on contemporary Eastern design in order to investigate and analyze the diversified landscape of the emerging international design.

China New Design, the first exhibition in this series, proposes a great selection of some of the most interesting works by over 30 contemporary Chinese designers, some unknown in Italy.

Furthermore, this project focuses on the culture of the young Chinese generations focusing on its tastes, projects and ambitions. From this exhibition emerges a rich and variegated panorama, which proposes innovative pieces of furniture, fashion design, the design of jewels, graphics and objects design.

The displayed pieces range from self reproduced products in large series to purely artistic objects and others merely industrial.
