3-13 Oct 2009. PAC hosts the first anthological exhibition by ConiglioViola (Purple Rabbit), I am a Pirate/I am a Gentleman, on the occasion of the fifth edition of the annual Day of Contemporary Art promoted by Amaci (Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums).

The exhibition is a combination of past and future, colours, light and dark, sound, television and photographs. Highlights include rooms containing video puzzles which visitors need to solve to enter a magic space where stories of children, captured and freed by a balloon-rabbit, set in an enchanting Paris are told.

Born in 1977, ConiglioViola, the pseudonym of Brice Coniglio, is the youngest artist to have displayed his work at PAC. He is active in many different fields from video art to photography, from electric music to experimental theatre, from net.art to performance art. His most clamorous performance to date was a gigantic inflatable pink rabbit attacking Venice Biennale 2007 from the sea. The same rabbit is now camping in the courtyard of Villa Reale at the entrance of PAC.
