18 Mar-9 June. This is the first retrospective in Italy of Canadian artist Jeff Wall.
On display are 42 works by the Vancouver artist, who was one of the the first photographers to introduce new, digital technologies to his work. Many of his images use Vancouver as a backdrop, with scenes of urban decay, industrial anonimity and everyday life. His portraits explore social and political issues in a style that is reminiscent of the painters from the 19th century. Most famous are his large transparencies mounted on lightboxes.
