Emeralds (music by Faure), Rubies (Stravinsky) and Diamonds (Tchaikovsky). Balachine was inspired to create these three separate choreographies by the jewellery designer Claude Arpels. Each choreography is to music by a different composer and with a different style so they can be performed separately.
