Three-day indoor meeting
Building on the success of September’s outdoor yoga festival in Rome, with a 25 per cent increase in visitors reaching a record 4,500 over three days, Milan will this week host the ninth indoor festival from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 October.
Dedicated this time to “Gratitude”, the festival will offer three days of activity for a wide, curious and motivated public, with a programme covering meetings with international masters, introductory classs, lessons in energy and vegan cooking, workshops, free lectures, music and theatre performances and contact with schools and yoga centres throughout Italy. Thirty seminars for those who already practice yoga will be offered at prices which the organisers say take the current economic crisis into account.
New events this year will include a presentation and demonstration of “Yoga for Flying”, a technique developed by an Airbus captain and a yoga teacher to dominate fear of flying. Yoga Movie will screen a selection of fils on yoga, put together by Milano Film Festival and the city’s Museum of the Cinema. Hot Yoga Therapy will explain a technique to be practiced in a room warmed to 38°, the temperature of the human body.
Yoga Festival Milano will be open daily from 09.30 to 21.00.
The entry price is also the membership fee for a one-year card offering discounts on all the activities and products cooperating with the festival
