Milan's well-kept secrets - S. Maria presso S. Satiro

The church, built between 1472 and 1482, was commissioned by Duke Galeazzo Maria Sforza. It was originally thought that Bramante had designed it but it now seems that he played only a minor role. However the trompe l’oeil behind the main altar, which makes the church seem much larger than it really is, was certainly the work of Bramante.
