15 March-21 April 2012. This exhibition displays the photographs by the controversial contemporary Japanese artist Nobuyoshi Araki. On display are Photos & Polas, a series of large and medium sized polaroid, which portray simultaneity.

His photographs are mainly erotic and some have been even defined pornographic. He likes to immortalize accomplishing, seductive and completely abandoned women by the disarming naturalness in their daily life as well as sensual and powerful flowers and skies, in which time and space vanish. His shots are a sort of existential diary, driven by a great passion for life and its contradictions. Araki likes to catch the emotive tension between good and bad, irony and mystery, erotic desire and playful expression.

By 2005 Araki published over 350 books and is therefore considered one of the most prolific artists in Japan and worldwide. His works are held in numerous museums worldwide such as at the Tate Gallery of London and at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
