Schubert in the Royal Palace

Together with an open-air movie

Continuing the summer programme of “7 concerts for 7 summer nights”, the orchestra of I Pomeriggi Musicali will play Schubert’s delicate Overture in the Italian Style under the baton of Paolo Volta. Violin soloist Igor Riva will play Paganini’s splendid (and difficult) Le Streghe, followed by Francesco Paolo Speziale on the bass, playing Bottesini’s Allegro.

The concert, starting at 20.30, will conclude with Bottesini’s Granduo concertante and Schubert’s third symphony, before the lights go down for the screening of Steven Knight’s 2013 drama Locke, starring Tom Hardy.

Tickets are available for both the concert and the film (€8), or for only one or the other (€5)

In case of rain, the concert will be held in the nearby Teatro del Verme.
