Last concert in the series
For the last in this summer’s series of open-air concerts in the Magnolia Cloister of the Stelline Foundation, the evening will be dedicated entirely to works by the father of the Argentinian tango, Astor Piazzolla.
Soloists for this farewell concert will be Luca Maggioni, leading viola with the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali, and Flaviano Braga on the accordion and the bandoneon, the concertina-like instrument closely associated with Argentina’s tango culture.
Saturday’s programme will include Le grand tango, Histoire de tango, Meditango, Oblivion, Milonga del angel, Night club 1960, Adiós nonino and Libertango.
Doors open at 17.30. Ticket holders will again enjoy a 25 per cent discount for the happy hour after the concert until 20.00 in the Orti di Leonardo.
Tickets from TicketOne or at the box office from 16.00.
