The Undertones stop off in Milan's Salumeria della Musica

15 April. The Undertones stop off in Milan's Salumeria della Musica during their upcoming European tour.

Formed in 1975 in Derry, Northern Ireland, The Undertones burst onto the international scene with their 1978 punk hit 'Teenage Kicks'. Over 30 years later the song still receives regular air play and is remembered as the favourite track of the late BBC disc jockey John Peel, whose gravestone inscription reads simply "Teenage dreams, so hard to beat".

The band went on to release a string of successful singles and albums before disbanding in 1983. The original line-up returned in 1999, minus singer Feargal Sharkey, who was replaced by Paul McLoone.
