20 years of freedom and democracy

Inauguration of street art for South Africa

Milan Mayor Giulino Pisapia and the South African Consul-General, Saul Kgomotso Molobi, will present a spectacular mural on Thursday, celebrating 20 years of freedom and democracy after the fall of apartheid.

The celebratory art work has been created by artists Pao Pao, Nais, Orticanoodles e Ivan, with the sponsorship of the city of Milan and the support of Building Energy, an organisation dedicated to renewable energy sources, already active in South Africa.

The presentation of the mural will be held in the Sala delle Colonne of the Fabbrica del Vapore in Via Procaccini 4, Milan City Council’s centre for youth cultural production. It will start on 17 July at 12.00.
