All-day traffic block on Sunday 27 May

Milan’s third “DomenicaAspasso” (Sunday on foot) will fall on 27 May, with a traffic block for all but the exempt categories from 10:00 to 18:00 throughout the city.
A single ATM bus or tram ticket will be valid for the whole day, and subscribers to the bike-sharing scheme will have free access all day long.
A long list of cultural and sporting activities planned especially for the day is available on the city hall website.  Among the exciting events to watch is the thrilling final lap of the Giro d’Italia cycle race.  But fans beware: the route will not be the traditional one of previous years.  This year it will be a 26-km lap starting at Fiera di Rho Pero, proceeding via Corso Sempione, the Castello Sforzesco, via Legnano, Piazza Lega Lombarda, Bastioni di Porta Nuova, Repubbica, Corso Venezia, San Babila, Corso Europa, Via Larga and Piazza Diaz, to finish as usual at the Duomo.
Exempt categories of traffic will include electric and car-sharing vehicles, emergency vehicles, transport for the disabled or for patients needing urgent therapy (with a doctor’s certificate), various professonal categories, and vehicles arriving at or departing from hotels, railway stations and airports, with supporting documents.
