Aquae Venezia joins Milan and Venice

Collateral event of Expo 2015

Aquae Venezia 2015 is an international exhibition scheduled from May to October 2015 in Venice, collateral to and sponsored by Expo Milan 2015.

Reflecting the theme of the Expo, “Feeding the planet, energy for life”, Aquae Venezia 2015 will concern the resource par excellence – water – a fundamental element for life.

The exhibition will be hosted in the new multifunctional pavilion beng created near the Scientific and Technological Park VEGA in Venice-Marghera, designed by architects Michele De Lucchi, Andreas Kipar, Gianni Caprioglio and Paolo Lucchetta. The pavilion extends for 14,000 sqm and has 10,000 sqm of net exhibition area. Overall the area involved by the event, included the outside space, is of 50,000 sqm with a view of the lagoon.

The artistic director of this event is Davide Rampello, who also curates Pavilion zero for Expo Milan 2015 and the scheduled events.

Aquae Venezia 2015 is an articulated programme of expositions, experiential activities and conferences, business-to-business (B2B), workshops and matchmakings dedicated to water as a fundamental element for life.

It is not only the main stage for innovative projects and technological development, but will also be a demonstration and presentation of excellence, of innovative technologies, in-depth scientific studies, all orientated towards an interpretation of a collective challenge that humanity is called upon to respond to concerning the resource: water.

Aquae Venezia 2015 will be divided into a permanent exposition of scientific, artistic, educational and experiential features, flanked by a programme of events of varying duration. The main themes will be water and the environment; water and life: wellbeing and health; water and nourishment (food and waterways); and discovering water, an educational path bringing children and adults closer to the scientific world in a dynamic and fun way.

The exhibition will also investigate cultural, social economic and financial themes in special sessions. Completing all the exhibition has to offer will be a restaurant dedicated to fish dishes from some of the 130 countries who are members of EXPO.

Entrance will cost €20 if booked on line or €22 directly at the venue, with a wide range of concessions detailed on the booking page of the website.
