Discount for ATM fines

Milan public transport authority ATM has announced a discount on fines for passengers without a valid ticket who are willing to pay on the spot.

With the discount, passengers who forgot to stamp their ticket, or who cannot exhibit a valid one, can now pay €45 immediately, or €65 within 60 days of the offence.  After that, the full fine remains €120 for an unstamped or wrongly stamped ticket, or €150 for the traveller with no ticket at all.
