A week of movies from the best festivals.
The week from 14 to 20 June will see a concentrated programme of films from the festivals of Cannes, Locarno, Venice and Turin screened in Milan movie houses.
All in the original language with Italian subtitles, 25 selected films from the four big festivals will be shown in 14 cinemas around the city.
Organised by Milan city hall and the entertainment industry association AGIS, the programme is designed to give enthusiasts access to the movies that are difficult and expensive to see at the festivals, where even specialised journalists have problems finding a seat, says Lombardia Spettacolo, hosting the selection, which offers three week-long appointments every year.
A single entry costs €8, but a Cinecard at €27 for 6 films or €48 for 12 films not only brings a substantial saving, but also lets the moviegoer skip the queue at the box office.
The full programme for the week, and a page to buy Cinecards or single tickets, are on the Lombardia Spettacolo website.
