20 Dec. An annual Milan tradition.
On Wednesday 20 December at 19.30, Milan’s Duomo will be the splendid setting for the annual Christmas concert, one of the city’s best loved traditions.
This year’s event will offer a performance of some of the best known Ave Marias, but also some less often heard versions, from the pen of Bettarini, Caccini, Cherubini, Donizetti, Franck, Gounod, Luzzi, Mascagni, Mercadante, Perosi, Saint-Saens and Schubert.
The choral works will be performed by the Carmina et Cantica and MoMus APS choirs, accompanied by the Ensemble Accademia musica festival under the baton of Stefano Seghedoni.
The cathedral will be open from 19.00, and entry is free as long as places are available. Visitors as requested to cooperate with the security measures at the door and not to carry crash-helmets, glass objects, suitcases or large bags.
