Info day in Milan for studies abroad

Free briefing for schoolchildren interested in overseas courses.

Students (and their parents) interested in taking part in a study abroad programme recognised by the Italian education ministry can take part in a free briefing day on Wednesday 28 September.

Organised by YouAbroad, an organisation with branches in five Italian cities including Milan and Miami Fla., the briefing will present opportunities in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Britain, Brazil and other countries.

The project is aimed at students aged between 15 and 18 in the Italian upper secondary school, usually in their fourth year. They will be placed in a comparable school in the host country, and may decide to live in the school as boarders or to be hosted in a nearby family.

To form a recognised element of the Italian education track, the overseas placement can be for a quarter, a semester or a full school year.

The info day will run from 09.30 to 18.30 with a break for lunch, and will consist of briefings, advice and question and answer sessions.

Participants are required to book in advance on the YouAbroad website. More information is available on the toll-free phone number 800 200 046.
