On 25 October the bank Intesa Sanpaolo inaugurates a new exhibition space, called Cantiere del ‘900 in Piazza della Scala. The space, located inside Palazzo Beltrami, the historical headquarters of the bank, is part of an ambitious cultural project.
The first exhibition will host 189 works from second half of the 20th century, including paintings, sculptures and photographs in Intesa Sanpaolo’s own collection, which covers Italian art from the 1950s to the 1990s. These focus on abstract and informal artistic movements as well as on formal and technological experimentations.
Cantiere del ‘900 includes a new bookshop and a cafeteria, located at the corner between Piazza La Scala and Via Manzoni. The bank also offers a series of free tours and didactic workshops for schools, as well as guided tours and themed events about the collection and the palaces.
