Irish design at the threshold.
Liminal – Irish design features over 20 Irish designers, companies and studios involved in an inter-disciplinary approach to design, and presents them for the first time at the Fuorisalone in Milan.
This is the flagship show from Irish Design 2015 (ID2015), a year-long initiative backed by the Irish government promoting and celebrating Irish design at home and abroad.
Taking the theme of liminality, which refers to spaces that lie between the known and the unknown, this exhibition explores the craft of collaboration and the exploratory approach undertaken by designers.
This travelling exhibition starts in Milan and then moves to New York, Dublin and Eindhoven.
The exhibition will be launched by the Irish ambassador to Italy, Bobby McDonagh, at 19.00 on Thursday 16 April. Jameson Irish whiskey will be served from 18.00.
