To last until December 2017.
A huge works site is about to close Milan’s central Corso Plebisciti from Sunday 23 August until the end of December 2017 for the construction of the M4 “blue line” metro station Dateo.
Residents will be able to access their driveways, and two major crossroads will remain open, but apart from that traffic will be diverted for over two years.
Traffic diversion signs will be posted around this important thoroughfare, and bus lines 54 and 61 will also have to be re-routed around the site.
News on the progress of the M4 and information for traffic disruption caused by the building works is regularly posted on the M4 website.
The new blue line will, once complete, connect Linate airport to the city centre. An opinion survey commissioned by Milan city hall recently determined that 87 per cent of residents approved the plans for the new metro line.
