Milan hosts major tourism exhibition BIT

Milan “the ideal location for a tourism fair”.

Billed as the most important event in the European tourism trade calendar, BIT International Travel Exhibition opens again in Milan on Sunday 11 February.

Following tradition, the first day will be open to the general public, while the fair will continue on Monday and Tuesday for industry professionals, tour operators and buyers.

Visitors can explore and make holiday plans for Italy’s hidden gems, the marvels of Europe or more exotic destinations. Themed areas are dedicated to food and wine tours (A BIT of taste), honeymoons (I love Wedding), LGBT tourism and business travel.

Other areas include Bit4Job recruitment centre for the tourist sector and BeTech for digital trends and technology, business and network services.

This year’s professional programme includes more than one hundred conferences and seminars on the latest industry trends.

The fair has brought tourists and travellers from across the world to Milan for 30 years. Almost 92 per cent of last year’s participants confirmed that Milan is the ideal location.

BIT is held at the MiCo conference centre, close to Portello station on the M5 lilac metro line. Entry to BIT costs €7 at the gate, €5 if pre-booked on the event website.
