Milan inaugurates Lombardy’s biggest covered food market

New covered market close to Lodi station on Milan’s M3 metro line.

Friday morning 9 November will see the opening in Milan’s Via Friuli 10 of the biggest covered market for food in all of Lombardy region.

Just three minutes on foot from the Lodi station of the “yellow” metro line M3, the market will host 40 stands where farmers from the whole region will offer fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, oil, wine and many more traditional Lombardy agricultural products.

The market has been organised by farmers’ professional association Coldiretti to promote the quality of local produce.

During the opening party there will be activities for children so that parents are free to explore, and show cooking with country recipes.

Each week, the market will be open from Wednesday to Saturday from 08.00 to 14.00.
