Milano Moda Donna opens 20 Feb

20-26 Feb. Milan hosts fall/winter 2018-19 fashions.

Designers, buyers and specialised media will be in Milan for the Tuesday 20 February launch of this year’s Milano Moda Donna, with 64 catwalks, 92 presentations (plus another three by invitation only) and 18 special events, for a total of 156 collections.

Among the big names showing in Italy’s fashion capital, Tommy Hilfinger has chosen Milan for the fourth stop in his #TOMMYNOW tour.

New faces will include Erika Cavallini, Francesca Liberatore and Christian Pellizzari, as well as the winner of the Franca Sozzani GCC Award for best emerging designer. Angel Chen, Brognano, Lucio Vanotti, Ricostru and Ujoh will also be showing for the first time in Milan.

Alongside the shows, the Italian Chamber of Fashion is celebrating its 60th birthday with an exhibition called ITALIANA – Italy vista dalla mode 1971-2001.  The exhibit, housed in the Royal Palace, will stay open to the public until 6 May.

Details of the calendar are available on the MilanModaDonna website, and updates are already being tweeted on @cameramoda.
