Weekly market in Milan’s Piazza S. Eustorgio.
Every Tuesday from 10.30 to 18.30, farmers from all over Lombardy will offer fruit, vegetables, meat, cheeses, wine, cold cuts and fish, all exclusively from the region, in the shadow of the basilica.
This market has started up again for 2016 after last year’s success, when city hall made the space available for high quality local produce.
As well as several varieties of the rice and flour which have for centuries been staples in the Po plain, this year a novelty will be fresh pasta made with hemp-seed. Another new entry is an olive oil producing cooperative venture from the shores of Lake Como.
