Photo shoot for Milan's new dog pound

To raise funds for new dogs' and cats' home

Animal lovers are invited to take part – with their pets – in a fashion shoot on Wednesday 8 October to raise funds for a cat and dog pound in Corsico.

Organised by the non-profit Tom&Jerry Onlus and with the support of Corsico and Buccinasco town halls, the event will be an opportunity to have a photo taken by real-life fashion photographers Manfredo Pinzauti and Marco Esposito. The pictures will be published in real time on the association’s Facebook page, and participants whose pictures gain the most “likes” will win coupons to spend at Arcaplanet store for animal foods and equipment, and their portraits will be published in the Tom&Jerry 2015 calendar.

Even animal lovers at present without a pet to share their life can take part too – there will be cats and dogs on hand to pose with them, many of them offered for adoption. Donations to the project will also win an autographed and dedicated T-shirt by top Milan designer Elio Fiorucci.

The organisers, who have been working for 12 years to support a culture of respect for the environment and contrast the exploitation of animals, will explain how the funds raised will be spent in the animal pound being built on a 10,000 sq.m. terrain gifted by Corsico townhall.

The event will start with a cocktail party and run from 17.30 to 21.30.
