Host team France wins first match.
The UEFA European Championship got under way Friday evening with host team France beating Rumania 2-0 in a dramatic match at the Saint-Denis stadium in Paris.
While there is unlikely to be a bar or café which isn’t carrying the live coverage, many fans (particularly those who smoke) prefer to watch in the open air, so Milan has set up 11 giant screens with free live coverage around the city.
Here is a list of the locations. The programme of the tournament, updated in real time, is available on the UEFA website.
