UK to celebrate Italian investment success

UK investment prize to be awarded in Milan.

A gala evening in Milan’s Bourse will celebrate the success of Italian companies investing in the UK on Wednesday 27 January.

Secrecy surrounds the names of the top investors, who will be revealed at the ninth annual UK-Italy Business Awards ceremony on 27 January afternoon, celebrating both established Italian companies and innovative start-ups.

This year’s edition is themed around William Shakespeare to mark the 400th anniversary of his death, to showcase the Shakespeare Lives campaign recently launched by the British government.

Awards categories are manufacturing, digital economy, market entrant, investor of the year, agritech, creative industries and green economy.

In addition to these, five companies in Borsa Italiana’s Elite programme will be awarded for their internationalisation efforts, while six dynamic Italian start-ups will receive a special recognition. There will also be an intercultural award connected to the theatrical world and inspired by the figure of William Shakespeare.

The annual event is organised by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the British Consulate General in Milan and Borsa Italiana - London Stock Exchange Group.
