The XIV Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatzo, will visit Milan on 27 and 28 June, the Institute for Studies of Tibetan Buddhism has announced.
On 27 June, His Holiness will teach on the basis of the text ‘The three principal aspects of the Path’ by Lama Tzong Khapa, while on the following morning he will conduct the initiation of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of compassion. In the afternoon there will be a conference open to the public. All these events will be held in the Mediolanum Forum in Assago.
A website has been set up to publish further details as they become available, and to provide an opportunity to sign up for news releases and to book a place in the public events: visit www.dalailama-milano2012.org.
This will be the first visit to Milan by the Nobel Peace-prizewinner since his participation in the 2007 peace festival.
