19 June-7 July 2012. This itinerant exhibition, entitled Tribute to Marilyn, displays 50 works by the Tuscan artist Alessandro Gedda, which pay homage to Marilyn Monroe on occasion of the 50th anniversary from her death.
The expressions of the famous diva are put in evidence through the sketches technique. On oil paintings Gedda throws pure colour splashes, which redefine the contours of the subject. After Milan this exhibition will travel to Como (Castadiva Resort 1 August-30 September); Lugano (Hotel Villa Pricipe Leopoldo 26 July-30 September); Cannes (Hotel 3.14 15 July-5 August).
Gedda, who currently lives and works in Milan, is a polyhedral artist and an innovative designer. His passion for contemporaneity and technology are mixed to his interest for tradition. He creates oil paintings and sculptures, he likes to experiment with digital art and uses various materials such as wood, iron, plastic and copper. He has participated to over a hundred in Italy as well as worldwide.
