33 years after his death, Palazzo Reale dedicates this exhibition to the great English movie director and producer Alfred Hitchcock (1899-1980). There are 70 photographs, special contents and screenings of 14 restored movies from the archives of Universal Pictures, which produced his movies 1940-1976, including Psycho, Jeff, Vertigo and The Birds. Throughout his career, Hitchcock shot over 50 movies. Hitchcock’s compelling shots, his pioneering management of the camera, his original mounting style as well as his masterful ability to keep the tension alive in every frame, all influenced the subsequent history of cinema.
