18 February-22 April 2012. This exhibition pays homage to June Brown, better known as Alice Springs, the wife of one of the most famous photographers of the 20th century, Helmut Newton.
On display are a selection of black and white shots, which portray some celebrities and models, immortalized with politeness and naturalness by this sensitive and ironical artist.
For many years Brown has been considered only as Newton’s wife, until she substituted her famous husband on the set of a commercial, which publicized the French cigarettes Gitanes. Since then Brown started photographing under the pseudonym of Alice Springs and her shots were published on the most important fashion magazines worldwide.
