In Notre-Dame de Paris, choreography by Roland Petit. In his ballet version of ''Notre Dame de Paris,'' Roland Petit has reduced Victor Hugo's sprawling 19th-century Romantic novel to a two-hour show.
Created for the Paris Opera in 1965, the production comes to life with chic, brightly coloured costumes by Yves Saint-Laurent and a soundtrack score by Maurice Jarre. The result is broad-stroke choreography and bright colours in miniskirts. The choreographic highlight is a pas de trois featuring Esmeralda, Frollo and the Hunchback himself.
