Ceramics by Andrea Branzi

19 June-9 September 2012. Triennale DesignCafé proposes a journey through the symbolic ceramic works by the Tuscan architect and designer Andrea Branzi.

On display is a series of elegant ceramics with a strong anthropological content: the first one, entitled Still Life, reflects on the death and the caducity of life; the second, entitled Epigrams, consists of small figures mixed with flowers, fruits and candles, inspired by classical poems by Catullo and Marziale as well as by modern texts by Penna and Fortini; the third, entitled Portals, is a micro-habitat to be enriched with floral elements; the series Wood is inspired by the Japanese technique of Ikebana, dedicated to the exposure of cut flowers; in the series Rose Gardens geometrical elements are related to organic and natural forms.
