18-20 March 2011. Fondazione Forma launches this first convention on the state of photography in Italy in the past decades. It focuses on the best way to bring photography alive for the general public via various new media and the art market. There are meetings and workshops with photographers, teachers, critics and journalists.
Interest in photography in Italy has grown in recent decades with more space dedicated to photographic exhibitions, meetings with photographers in new venues such as schools and the encouragement of lively public debate. But Italy is still lags behind other European countries such as France, which is in first place for the conservation, divulgation and organisation of photographic exhibitions.
This event tries to stimulate even greater attention to this artistic medium.
