Works from the Museo di Belli Arti di Budapest on show in Milan
17 Sept-7 Feb. Masterpieces from the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest are on display at Palazzo Reale. The 76 works on loan are by Lucas Cranach Senior, Artemisia Gentileschi, Rodin, Monet, El Greco, van Dyke and Tiepolo. There are also eight preliminary works – some paintings, some on paper – by Leonardo, Rembrandt, Parmigiano, Annibale Carraci, Van Gogh and Schiele.
The exhibition is part of the series organised by Palazzo Reale to show little-known collections from other international museum. The Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest, which closed in February for restoration, will open again in March 2018.
