16 February-21 March 2012. The famous American photographer David LaChapelle flies to Milan, where he will present a series of unusual dead natures, entitled Earth Laughs in Flowers.
On display is a series of large scale prints of plants, flowers and fruit, which are so soft and delicate to seem real paintings. In order to create these photographs, LaChapelle has used low lights, long exposure times and smoke, which confer his works a suggestive pictorial effect.
The title Earth Laughs in Flowers comes from the poem Hamatreya, written by Ralph Waldo Emerson in 1846, in which flowers articulate nature
