FAImarathon opens over 60 Milan sites

18 Oct. FAI, Fondo Ambiente Italia, opens the gates of well over 60 sites in and around Milan on Sunday 18 October.

They include urban and rural places of artistic, landscape or social interest and represent Italy's culture, history and traditions. In addition to single locations, FAI is also suggesting themed itineraries.

An interactive website makes choosing a destination for FAImarathon simple. Users can browse by type of site or event and above all by location.

In the city the 10 locations include the senate building, Ca’ Granda, the Guastalla gardens and the cloister of S. Gessate.

Members of FAI, which is similar to Britain's National Trust, will have exclusive access to some of the more private locations and fast-track access to others. Those not already signed up can do so at a special discount rate throughout October. Non-members are invited to make a free donation of their choice during their visit.

Members have free entry all year to FAI-managed castles, villas, ancient monasteries, abbeys, coastlines and woods, as well as discounts for many cultural events. They also have free entry to National Trust sites in Britain.
