Free classical concert in Milan’s Duomo

20 Dec. Milan’s traditional Christmas concert.

Again this year, the doors of Milan’s central Duomo will open to the public for a free Christmas concert of classical music on Thursday evening, 20 December.

This year’s programme will include selected favourite pieces from Handel’s Messiah oratorio, performed by the vocal and instrumental ensemble la Barocca and the orchestra and choir of Milan’s Giuseppe Verdi academy, conducted by Ruben Jais, conductor of the choir Erina Gambarini.

Entrance to the cathedral will be from 18.45, and the concert will start at 19.30.  Visitors are reminded not to bring bottles, motorcycle helmets, backpacks or bulky bags, and to be patient during the security check at the entrance.
