Free New Year’s Eve party in Milan’s Piazza Duomo

31 Dec. Music until the wee small hours.

As every year, Milan city hall is inviting everybody in the city to their free New Year’s Eve party in the central Piazza del Duomo, in front of the cathedral.

Immensely popular, the final party of the year always draws huge crowds, filling the square with music lovers.

Headliner on stage this year will be Tuscan singer-songwriter Francesco Gabbani, who burst on the music scene with his song Amen during the 2016 Sanremo song festival. After winning the following year, too, at Sanremo, he went on to represent Italy in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.

The music will start at 20.00, and Gabbani and his band, which includes his brother Filippo on guitar, will be on stage with the other main performers – some of them still secret – from 22.00.
