22 Oct 2009-31 Jan 2010. This exhibition brings together two works by the renowned Milanese photographer Gabriele Basilico: his first project, Milan Portraits of Factories 1978-1980, and his latest work, Moscow Vertical 2007-2008. The first is a series of 40 black and white images taken in the Milanese suburbs, which represent a visual reconstruction of a little-known and marginal landscape focusing on industrial architecture, which is for Basilico the emblem of the city.
With the second project, Moscow Vertical, made of 15 colourful photographs, Basilico portrays the metamorphosis of the Russian capital as pictured from the summit of the seven towers constructed in the late 1940s during the Stalin era.
