12 May-9 Sep. Behind the scenes with costumes and props.
Saturday 12 May will see the opening of “Harry Potter: The Exhibition” in Milan’s Fabbrica del Vapore exhibition centre in Via Giulio Cesare Procaccini.
Over 130,000 tickets have already been sold for the show which takes fans of JK Rowling’s young wizard behind the scenes of the successful film franchise. The exhibition will reveal the craftsmanship behind authentic costumes, props and creatures from the films. It also features settings from the film’s most popular locations, including the Gryffindor common room and dormitory; classrooms like Potions and Herbology; and the Forbidden Forest, filled with thousands of authentic props, costumes, and creatures used in the filming of the series.
Guests can enter the Quidditch area and toss a Quaffle ball, pull their own Mandrake in the Herbology classroom vignette, and even tour a re-creation of Hagrid’s hut and sit in his giant-sized armchair.
Visits are estimated to take around an hour, and entrance is staggered at half-hour intervals to prevent the build-up of crowds and ensure stress-free enjoyment of the exhibition. It will be open seven days a week, on Mondays from 15.00 to 22.00, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10.00 to 22.00 and on Fridays and weekends from 10.00 to 23.00, although these times may change for bank holidays or other festivities.
Tickets start from €15, and the price varies according to the time slot chosen. Booking and further information on the event website.
