12-13 May. Live 80-piece orchestra for soundtrack.

Award-winning movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (in the Italian-language version) will be screened in Milan from 12 to 14 May with the 80 members of the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema providing the score live at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Via dell’Innovazione 20.

The same event proved a success in Rome last December, with four concerts sold out and a total of over 7,000 cinemagoers.

John Williams’ original score won an Oscar nomination as well as the Broadcast Film Critics Award, and a nomination for the American Film Institute’s “100 Years of Film Scores”. The movie itself gathered three Oscar and seven BAFTA nominations.

On both days there will be screenings at 20.30, and on 13 May also at 15.30. Tickets from €35 (reductions for groups, kids, seniors and families) are available on the Arcimboldi website.
