2 March-1 April 2012. On occasion of the Pope’s visit to Milan for the Families’ World Encounter (30 May-3 June 2012), Palazzo Reale displays a photographic exhibition, entitled Italian Family, which consists of a chronological path through the social changes and transformations of Italian society and families from a cinematographic point of view.
On display are over 60 images taken by some of the major movie photographers since 1910 from unforgettable Italian feature films such as There was a Time in America by Sergio Leone and Rocco and His Brothers by Luchino Visconti, which tell the history and evolution of Italian society.
This exhibition offers a moment of reflection on the family institution and its transformations.
