5 March-5 April 2010. On the occasion of the 17th edition of the Sguardi Altrove Film Festival, which this year pays homage to Chinese culture, this exhibition brings together works on China by an Italian and a Chinese artist. The Italian photographer Bruna Rotunno portrays Shanghai by night, while the Chinese artist Chen Li interprets the graphic tradition in China in a very personal way: her calligraphies and installations translate the signs into images.

The exhibition ends with the projection of a cycle of experimental videos by young upcoming Chinese videomakers, which help to better understand the transformations underway in Chinese society. The programme also includes seven workshops including one, led by Rotunno, dedicated to urban photography and another to experimental photography, led by Chen Li.
