23 June-3 September 2012. On occasion of the men’s fashion week in Milan, Palazzo Morando pays homage to supreme Italian knitscape with this exhibition, entitled Maglifico!, which displays masterpieces of fashion knitwear.
Its exhibitory path explores the world of knitwear, the Made in Italy and the versatility of wool, which inspired world famous stylist, including Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani and Vivienne Westwood. The focus is on both simple and more complex knitwear, which range from small regional realities to more prestigious brands, including Missoni, Ermanno Scervino and Laura Biagiotti.
A special section is dedicated to young talents and new brands among the others by Paolo Errico, Boboutic, Henrik Vibskov and Aimo and Richly.
This event aims to celebrate the cleverness and immense attention to detail that have characterized Italy’s creativity throughout the decades. It also intends to accompany visitors on a journey through the evolution of the creative industry of knitwear.
